Monday Monday: A Thanksgiving Feast

A SAILS Thanksgiving Feast
It’s the Monday before the first big day of this Holiday season. Can you believe it’s almost Thanksgiving? Here in Metro Detroit (South East Michigan) we have already had snow and ice, as much of the U.S. has had. But this morning it is a balmy 57 degrees here, with a wind advisory for this afternoon.
I have one child in a C.I. classroom for children with special needs. Each year the kiddos cook up a Thanksgiving Feast. So today we have been summoned to the Great Feast. It’s so fun to see the smiles of pride on the children’s faces. Each knowing that they have helped to prepare a part of the Feast, which their family members are partaking in.
This is Jeremy’s last year to help with the Feast since next year he will be moving up to the middle school. So it is a bit sad to attend today knowing that it’s one of the finally elementary school events that he so loves to do.
As we head into this busy week we are Thankful for each and every one of you who read this. If you are busy getting things ready for your own feast, take a moment to remember something to be thankful for, and breath. May your life be blessed with all the happiness that you each seek.
Enjoy Life, God Speed.
